New Blog for Jackie!

I have tried to go about my business without writing to the airwaves any more. It hasn't worked. I find that I really do like to write and that perhaps my actual well being is affected by whether or not I write about my feelings. This is pretty much news to me. I had thought I could do it, make it work for me as a kind of therapy and then turn if off when I no longer felt the need or I thought I might be boring you all out of your skulls. Turns out it's not quite that simple.

Being alone, I find the need to share my special moments with someone. You are it. While I've been on hyatis I've held a sutstitute braiding festival which had to be cancelled because of Rodrick Owen not being able to join us, due to serious illness. Six of us gathered anyway because we had set aside the time and were eager to share some time braiding together. It turned out to be a wonderful week. Besides four locals we were pleased to have Karen Huntoon from Truckee and Constance Britton from Seattle. They were a great addition to our fold. We hope Rodrick will be whole and well by next October and able to join us again. Keep getting better, Rodrick.

I still think it was a good idea to bring the "About Skip" blog to a gentle resting spot. And so I have decided to begin a new blog in which to air my enthusiasms and convictions as well as occasional frustrations and pitfalls. If I see an exhibit that grabs me, the new platform will give me a chance for expressing myself. Give me several more days at which time there should be a little something there.
